are now in place and have been oiled once and will get a second go-around tonight.
Now we are waiting for the cabinet doors that are being painted and that will probably be installed on Monday. Furthermore, the tile has been ordered and will go up tomorrow or on Friday. Then we are waiting for the electrician and the plumber (my dad :-) to finish off the work that will complete the brand new kitchen.
The only thing is that it is really advanced logistics it to get everyone lined up and ready to go when needed since the demand for craftsmen is crazy in Sweden right now due to law changes that will impact and lower the percentage of deduction that home owners will be allowed to make on home improvements as of January, 2016. In other words, many swedes are in a cheer panic to finish all major home improvements before the end of the year, thus the mad rush.

The counter tops in massive oak and will darken over time.
Again, I am so thrilled by the way the wallpaper turned out.
The Wallpaper is by Swedish Sandberg
The kitchen sink in place.
The tile will go in on this wall behind the sink and the stove...
and looks exactly like the tile in this picture. What I adore with this tile is that it is not flat, dull and boring but has a lot of movement in it. It is by Swedish maker Höganäs and is called Arctic.
