It is only a matter of time!

my oldest daughter said last week referring to the latest American school shooting, and now it has happened, a school in Sweden has been attacked. It happened yesterday. A young man dressed in black entered a Swedish School and started killing people with a sword like knife. He was dressed in a way that made the children believe that he was in a Halloween costume and when they approached him they were attacked.

To our great horror, in Sweden anyone can enter a school, a classroom, or the teachers lounge without being challenged with questions in regards to their identities in any way or form since Sweden is an open society without security measures what so ever anywhere except at the airports. Is that time now over? Is innocence now lost forever? Has Sweden been naive for too long? Is it time to wake up and face the reality of an increasingly crazy world?

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones and with the entire school community. Our thoughts are also with the parents of the young man who committed the horrible act. It is a tragedy all the way around.
