Suddenly it happens, Sweden has been targeted by a massive cyber attack that closed down some of the most important Swedish websites for a few hours this weekend and the experts are sure this is only the beginning. Swedish intelligence suspects that it is the Russian government that is responsible and that it is retaliation for "spreading false propaganda" as the attackers accused Sweden of in a message posted on the sabotaged websites. The Russians are highly irritated and annoyed by the freedom of speech and freedom of opinion that we have here in Sweden and thus the attacks were aimed at some of our leading newspapers and news sites here in Sweden.
Now think of it
Freedom of opinion and the freedom to express those opinions in speech or in writing is the most important thing we have in our country.
It is the main difference between a democracy and a dictatorship.
On ALL levels.
But sadly, shooting the messenger is nothing new.
I have that on good authority.
